Health Studies: Population Health at the University of Toronto Scarborough

Gain the in-demand, practical skills to work in careers that need a deep understanding of human health and disease. Our students get hands-on in a range of experiential learning and research opportunities at major institutions in the health sector across Toronto. And you can graduate with paid, real-world work experience in our co-op option, giving you a competitive edge when entering the workforce.

You’ll explore biological and environmental determinants of health, epidemiology, aging and the life cycle, and the importance of social and behavioural determinants of health, both in Canada and around the world. We focus on giving you a strong interdisciplinary experience and developing a solid understanding of the biological basis for health and disease, including infectious, non-communicable, environmental diseases and the social determinants of health.
