Postdoctoral Fellow

Katie Mackinnon is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Critical Digital Humanities Initiative (CDHI) and CLIR at the University of Toronto Scarborough. She completed her PhD at the Faculty of Information, University of Toronto in 2022. She researches internet histories, ethical approaches to internet-based research, and social, infrastructural, and policy issues related to the web. Her dissertation, Databound: Histories of Growing up on the World Wide Web, focused on experiences of young people growing up online across Canada in the late 1990s to early 2000s.
