Financial Literacy For Art Workers Series
Generator is pleased to partner with the University of Toronto Scarborough Department of Arts, Culture and Media to offer a new course on Financial Literacy for Arts Workers. This course will be offered free of charge (a value of $300) to the first 20 ACM students to sign up. This course will be delivered over Zoom starting in Fall 2020. Access to Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel, and knowledge of basic Excel skills, are required.
The course will be taught by Generator's Lead Producer, Kristina Lemieux, and Financial Literacy Consultant, Audrey Quinn. We will focus on financial skills for self-employed artists working in live performance, film, and/or TV, but will include elements that are useful for all creatives and art makers.
From budgeting basics to HST, this course uses theory and practical tools to teach the fundamentals of financial management for creatives. Over 15 hours of training with Generator, you'll develop skills in financial planning and basic project accounting, build a financial system specific to your capacity and needs, and gain the confidence to expand those systems as your career grows over time.
Attendance to all the workshops within this series is required.
Spots are limited - 20 participants only!
Zoom links will be sent only to students who have registered for the series on Eventbrite.
