Join us for a free, public talk by Sanaz Mazinani as part of the Visiting Artist Lecture Series, co-presented by the Doris McCarthy Gallery, and Studio program in the Department of Arts, Culture & Media at the University of Toronto Scarborough.
 

Sanaz Mazinani is an artist, curator, and educator based in San Francisco and Toronto who holds degrees from the Ontario College of Art & Design, and Stanford Universities. Working in photography and large-scale installations Mazinani’s research is focused on the study of digital image propagation and its impact on representation and perception. Mazinani is a recipient of the Zellerbach Family Foundation Grant and National Endowments for the Arts Grant. Her work is held in many public and private collections, while she has exhibited worldwide and her work has appeared in Artforum, Hyperallergic, and Vice.

Food and refreshments will be provided. Students who are attending for the additional or required marks for their courses will need to sign-in upon arrival at the event.
