Engaging with our community isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are.
We foster a campus culture of engagement, promoting high-impact partnerships that are mutually beneficial, innovative, collaborative and accessible.
Through scholarship, research, service and business practices that support positive economic, social and cultural development, our engagement in the eastern GTA is long-term and multi-generational.
Our future and our community’s future are undeniably linked. We are dedicated to the development of our shared urban community, and to extending the experience of the community into the classroom and into the university.
Many of our students are involved in service-learning, mentorship and research projects with community organizations each year. Our commitment to engagement is evident in athletics, the arts, residence life, student life, clubs and organizations. As they partner with our neighbours, UTSC students develop the intellectual, ethical and personal skills that underpin good citizenship, leadership and purposeful work.
From the transformative commitment of the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre to our IMANI program mentors, we’re making a difference in the lives of our students and our community as a committed partner in building a stronger city and region.
