I like volunteering and helping students and people around, so I decided to join Party in the Right Spirit to make a difference to my peers. I'm here for support and to give guidelines for partying. My role as a peer educator is to help my peers of proper party etiquette and to be safe. I'll be around, check us out at our booth. See you there!

Apira

Apira
I've been in this school for about 4 years now and I'm about to complete my BSc, a double major in Health Studies and Integrative Biology. In ten years I would like to see myself owning at least one pair of super cute shoes that cost over a thousand dollars, just so I know what it feels like to own 'em :). I like music a LOT, its something that can help me de-stress if I ever need it, and its always within arms reach.  I decided to become a peer educator because I realized how much I like working with people, and informing them about things they might not know.

Anum

Anum

My name is Anum and I’m currently in my final year at UTSC doing a double major in Psychology and Health Studies. Having taken courses about drugs and the brain, human brain and behavior I have learned a lot about the effects that drugs and alcohol has on ones body as well as the long term consequences on the brain. My goal as a peer educator is to inform my peers about different drugs, and partying in the safest way possible. I want to make a difference and get involved, and as a peer educator I feel I will be able to talk to students and give them the information they need to party safely. As well I would love to further my teamwork and leadership skills

Rusitha

My name is Rusitha and I am currently in my fourth year of study, double majoring in Neuroscience and Health Studies. As a peer educator for the Health and Wellness Peer Programs, representing Party in the Right Spirit (PITRS), it is my responsibility to promote alcohol and drug awareness. I aim to educate my peers about alcohol impairment and liability of hosting social events. I hope to see you guys at events hosted by PITRS and please party safe!

I am very excited about being a peer educator and about being able to work with the Health & Wellness Centre to promote healthy living! This is my first year being a part of Party in the Right Spirit and I am happy to have the chance to raise awareness about important issues like responsible drinking and liability! But my role isn’t just to raise awareness it is also to give support and help where needed, so please don’t hesitate to ask!

Hi! My name is Vasicka. I am currently in my third year at UTSC, double majoring in Biochemistry and Psychology. Being involved with student organizations/clubs on campus creates a more enjoyable experience to student life. I love being involved and helping others so I decided to become a peer educator with the Health & Wellness Centre. This is my first year doing this, but I have already learned so much. I am looking forward to educating students and helping them make responsible decisions about issues regarding alcohol and drug use

Renuka

Renuka
My name is Renuka Hardowar and I'm a 3rd year student at UTSC majoring in Psychology and English. I've been with PITRS since the beginning of the semester this year and have learnt so much so far. I heard about the programs run by The Health and Wellness Centre from a friend and got interested in the PITRS program. This program in particular is really relevant to all students at UTSC and there are tons of information that we give out on a regular basis to learn more about partying safely, and drug and alcohol awareness.

Sabikun

Sabikun
My name is Sabikun Bhuiyan. I am a French and English Major; and a contender for honours in the Bachelors of Arts Degree at the University of Toronto Scarborough. I've been at UTSC for about 3 years now and I'll admit, it nearly feels like a second home to me. First of all, I'm very glad that I am part of UTSC's Health & Wellness peer educator program, where students come and go, in order to obtain a balanced health at our campus. I joined this group, to get involved and improve my communication skills as well as gain experience in leadership skills. What more can I say? UTSC is a very friendly community with lots of great people, who make a difference. Thus, I joined this group with an expectation to be one of those individuals! =)
