Health & Wellness Centre Wellness Peer Programs

Party In The Right Spirit Peer Program started at the Health & Wellness Centre in September 2009. It is associated with the Toronto Public Health. The main goal of the program is to create alcohol awareness on campus, educating students about issues related to alcohol impairment, liability of hosting social events, and violence prevention strategies. The purpose of the program is not to discourage students from drinking alcohol, but to educate them about various issues related to alcohol and other drug use so that they can make responsible decisions and increase their safety and that of their friends.

The PITRS team provides this information through displays, workshops, seminars, movie nights and various other events. In addition, the program also offers a large collection of pamphlets with information which serve as useful resources.
