Personal Counselling: One on One Sessions

Personal Counsellors can be found at the Health & Wellness Centre to be a source of support and guidance during times of stress.

Each Personal counsellor is trained to help with:

  • Addictions 
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement
  • Depression
  • Eating Disorders
  • Family Problems
  • Low Self-esteem
  • Mental Health Needs
  • Personal Crises
  • Relationship Issues
  • Sexuality
  • Social Anxiety
  • Stress

Once you have booked an appointment, you will meet with a personal counsellor to complete an assessment and create goals for counselling collaboratively.

One-on-one sessions are generally 50 minutes in length.

With your counsellor, you will create a plan for ongoing counselling. This may include weekly or biweekly sessions. Goals are evaluated on an ongoing basis to ensure your needs are being met.

All the information shared during an appointment is confidential.
