President's Message

It is my privilege to serve the University of Toronto Scarborough Music Ambassadors Program (UMAP) for the 2011-2012 school year. By our mandate, we aim to continue to promote music within the university and encourage students to explore their musical interests through the music ensembles, music courses, and the music program offered in our campus. We continue to focus on improving on-campus environment by providing students with opportunities to partake in musical events on and off campus.

As the official music department representative of the University of Toronto Scarborough, we take pride in our inclusivity. Membership in UMAP is not exclusive to current students, but extends to staff, faculty, and alumni. We provide members with rights geared towards the enhancement of their musical experience with UMAP and the University of Toronto Scarborough as a whole. With the variety of ensembles actively making beautiful music, we are reaching outwards to everybody to come and experience music—regardless of your field of study.

Altogether, I will work with you and the other executives to expand and establish a strong music community. I wish you a fun and enriching year in music.

Yours Truly,
Patrick Dan Lacuna
UMAP President
