Final Examination Information
Important Information
NOTE YOUR EXAMINATION DATE/TIME AND LOCATION CAREFULLY
Students are responsible for reading the timetable carefully and appearing at
the time and place specified. Students may be required to write day, evening or
weekend examinations. Information concerning the examination timetable WILL
NOT be provided by telephone. Please check this website prior to your
examination to confirm the day/time and room of your exam.
BRING YOUR STUDENT CARD
All students are required to identify themselves at each examination by means
of their University of Toronto student card. Students who do not have this card
MUST arrange to obtain one well in advance of the day of their first examination.
Students who have lost/damaged their student card should report to the UofT
Scarborough Library
TCard Office for a replacement. A replacement fee of $12 is charged. New
students who still have not obtained their student card should visit the Registrar's
Office room AA142 to obtain their card.
EXAMINATION CONFLICTS
The deadline to report conflicts or exam problems is midnight WEDNESDAY, November 23rd, 2011.
The University makes every effort to prevent the scheduling of
overlapping final exams and three consecutive time slots, however, some
conflicts are unavoidable.
Examination Timetable Conflicts:
Students scheduled to write two examinations at the same time should report
their conflicts on the Registrar's Office eService.
Arrangements will normally be made for students to write both examinations on
the same day with a supervised break. Where the conflict involves a St. George/UTM
campus course, arrangements will normally be made for both examinations to be
written at UofT Scarborough. Requests for such arrangements must be made no
later than midnight WEDNESDAY, November 23rd, 2011.
Three Consecutive Examinations:
Students scheduled to write three examinations in three consecutive time slots
may request special arrangements:
Examples of three consecutive examinations:
9:00 am, 2:00 pm,7:00 pm or
2:00 pm, 7:00 pm, 9:00 am or
7:00 pm, 9:00 am, 2:00 pm
Requests for such arrangements must be made on the Registrar's Office eService no later than midnight WEDNESDAY, November 23rd, 2011. Except as defined above, no other situation is considered a conflict!
NOTE: This accommodation does not apply to students writing deferred examinations.
Your conflict resolution should be viewable on eService by the last day of classes, Thursday, December 1st, 2011. If you are having any difficulty using eService please contact the Registrar's Office.
If you are unable to write your examination(s):
Students are expected to write their
final exams at the end of their courses. Occasionally,
students encounter circumstances where it is absolutely impossible for
them to do this. If you are ill or other circumstances prevent you from attending

FINAL GRADES
Once final grades become available to the Registrar's Office, they can be
viewed through ROSI at http://www.rosi.utoronto.ca.
Please keep checking ROSI as grades will be posted continuously.
It is your responsibility to be aware of the Rules of Conduct for Final Examinations.
Religious Observances
Any student whose examination timetable is in conflict with a religious observance may request special consideration by going to eService no later than midnight WEDNESDAY, November 23rd, 2011.
Your conflict resolution should be viewable on eService by the last day of classes, Thursday, December 1st, 2011. If you are having any difficulty using eService please contact the Registrar's Office.

TopExamination Room Regulations
- All students are advised to familiarize themselves with the Code of Behaviour on Academic Matters which can be found at: http://www.governingcouncil.utoronto.ca/policies.
- Students are advised to arrive at the examination room at least twenty minutes before the scheduled examination time. Invigilators will begin the actual examination at the scheduled time.
- No persons shall be allowed in an examination room during an examination except the students writing the examination and those supervising it.
- Candidates shall bring their photo identification cards (Tcard) and place them in a conspicuous place on their desks. (Students registered in other Faculties or Colleges of the University shall bring their student cards.)
- Bags and books are to be deposited in areas designated by the invigilator and are not to be taken to the examination desk or table. Students may place their purses on the floor beneath their chairs.
- The invigilator has the authority to assign seats to candidates.
- No materials or electronic devices shall be brought into the examination room or used at an examination except those authorized by the Chief Presiding Officer or Examiner. Unauthorized materials include but are not limited to: books, class notes, or aid sheets. Unauthorized electronic devices include but are not limited to: cellular telephones, laptop computers, programmable calculators, MP3 players (such as iPod), Personal Digital Assistants ("PDA" such as Palm Pilot or Blackberry), pagers, electronic dictionaries, Compact Disc Players, and Mini Disc Players.
- Candidates shall not communicate with one another in any manner whatsoever while the examinations are proceeding.
- Candidates bringing any unauthorized materials or electronic devices into an examination room or who assist, or obtain assistance from other candidates or from an unauthorized source, are liable to penalties under the Code of Behaviour on Academic Matters, including the loss of academic credit for the course and expulsion from the University.
- In general candidates will not be permitted to enter an examination room later than fifteen minutes after the commencement of the examination nor to leave the examination room except under supervision until at least half an hour after the examination has commenced.
- Candidates shall not leave the examination room within the final ten minutes of an examination, during which time they shall remain quietly seated at their desks.
- At the conclusion of an examination all writing within the answer books shall cease. The invigilator may refuse to accept the papers of candidates who fail to observe this requirement.
- Examination books and other material issued for the examination shall not be removed from the examination room without the authority of the invigilator.
- At the conclusion of an examination all candidates must remain seated until all answer books have been collected. Candidates wishing to leave before the conclusion of an examination must also remain seated until their answer books are collected.
The University is not responsible for personal property left in examination rooms.
