The features of relief can be shown by outline. In this scene outline stands for change of slant at concave and convex corners, as well as for occluding edges of flat-surfaced objects. The lines also stand for cracks and wires formed by relief features that are paralled, close together, and elongated. Some of the line endings show cusps, and the line junctions provide L,Y, and X shapes. NOTE: The possible uses of outline to show features of relief. The scene includes outline standing for change of slant at concave and convex corners.
