Your experience at UTSC is very unique and very personal. Part of this experience is becoming a proud and active member of the UTSC community. UTSC offers a plethora of opportunities to enrich the lives of students, staff and faculty on campus, as well as various individuals off campus.
With almost 100 student clubs and organizations, there is something for everyone. If you want to have your voice heard, there are various opportunities with the SCSU (Student Government) as a student representative, volunteer or a Student Coordinator. For those who are interested in the media, there are opportunities to write for the school newspaper, the Underground, or work for the campus radio station, Fusion Radio. There are numerous opportunities to get involved in the Student Affairs Office, AccessAbility Services or with Athletics intramurals or varsity sports programs. Upper year students living in residence are able to enhance residence life as executives on the Student ResidenceCouncil, or promote social and recreational activities via the Scarborough CampusAthletic Association. The Women’s Centre is always looking for volunteers to help improve the condition and status of women, or you can support literacy programs for youth and children in Scarborough with Students for Literacy.
Participating in clubs, associations and student life programs is a great way to meet people with similar interests, develop skills and competencies that will contribute to your own personal development, and expand your horizons beyond the classroom.
