Prof. Myrna Simpson is able to supervise graduate students in either the Chemistry Graduate Program or the Environmental Science Graduate Program. Students are encouraged to contact Prof. Simpson via email for the availability of student positions and new projects.
Our laboratory is equipped with four, 6 ft fume hoods, lots of bench space for conducting experiments, and a range of basic laboratory equipment that we use for our research.
We also have three instrument laboratories that house our analytical instrumentation (GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, GC-PFC and HPLC; see more info below).

Agilent Technologies 1100 series HPLC with Diode Array and Fluorescence detectors.
Agilent Technologies 7890B/5977A GC-MS.
Agilent Technologies 7890 GC (with FID) and a Gerstel fraction collector.
We also have access to equipment in the Department of Physical & Environmental Sciences TRACES Centre and the Environmental NMR Centre.
