Research Interests
I'm interested in the effects of global environmental change on the functioning of ecosystems. For my doctoral research I hope to measure changes in ecosystem functions in plant communities as a result of biological invasions. I plan to study the mechanisms behind these effects so that we can assemble models that predict how new invasions will alter functionality. These mechanisms may include various metrics of biodiversity, such as phylogenetic, genetic and functional trait diversity in the invaded communities.
