Applied Microbiology (formerly 'Industrial Microbiology')
Students in Applied Microbiology can earn an Honours Bachelor of Science degree and an Ontario College Advanced Diploma while learning from leading academics and professionals. Grounded in the fundamentals of biology, the program focuses on the critical thinking, research, laboratory skills and experience required to set the standard for today’s consumer products. Students examine genetic manipulation, quality assurance, control and safety factors, and test and evaluate everyday goods to understand their impact on human health. Graduates leave ready for careers in the laboratory or in product development, production and sales management in a variety of sectors including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, government and environmental agencies.
