Every day at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC), we are changing the future for the better. A biology student discovers her passion for cardiovascular science, and learns how she might improve the success of heart transplants when she graduates. A social scientist uncovers structural inequalities in the workforce policies of Bangalore, India, creating improved working conditions for the marginalized poor. An environmental scientist invents a new use for technology that allows experts around the globe to better understand the impact of climate change on soil fertility.
At UTSC, we are a community of active learners drawn from all over the globe, determined to use what we discover – through investigation, collaboration, and experience -- to make our world a better place.

Experiential education is one of the hallmarks of our innovative approach to education. We strive to give students a head-start on their future by enhancing their academic studies with opportunities such as internships, co-operative learning, hands-on research, volunteerism in the community, and co-curricular participation in campus life. Upon graduation, our students have earned one of the most rigorous and respected post-secondary degrees in the world.
