Welcome to the home page of the American Association of Stratigraphic Palynologists, Inc. (AASP). AASP was established in 1967 by a group of 31 founding members to promote the science of palynology. Today AASP has a world-wide membership of about 800 and is run by an executive comprising an elected Board of Directors and subsidiary boards and committees. AASP welcomes new members.
The AASP Foundation publishes the journal Palynology (annually), the AASP Newsletter (quarterly), and the AASP Contributions Series (mostly monographs, issued irregularly), as well as several books and miscellaneous items.
AASP also organises an Annual Meeting which usually includes a field trip, a business luncheon, social events, and technical sessions where research results are presented on all aspects of palynology.
The following items give more detailed information about AASP, its activities, and membership, and provide links to other palynology/paleontology sites on the internet.
