I've never taken a course in business or management before, does that matter?

"Introduction to Management" is introductory course.

Presumes no prior knowledge.

Does not assume Grade 12 OAC credit.

 

I'm enrolled in the Monday section, can I come to the Tuesday section?

Yes, the same material will be covered, in the same order

 

Q. I'm enrolled in Professor Laurence's section, can I come to your class?

Not a good idea. We won't necessarily have the exact same exam.

 

Q. Are you using the same textbook as last year?

Q. Can I buy last year's textbook?

Yes. There should be lots available.

 

Q. Should I bring the textbook to class?

You don't need to, no.

 

Q. Are there tutorials?

No, attending the one lecture every week is your only scheduled responsibility.

 

Q. Will You Be Posting Your Lecture Notes to the Web?

My responsibilities do not include providing web based notes.

I will probably do so as a courtesy.

Q. How will we be tested / evaluated?

There are no essays, projects or assignments

There will be two term tests (both in October) and a final exam (December)

Q. Should I take notes in class?

Probably a good idea, the lectures will follow the text closely.

 

Q. Should I read chapter before or after class?

Whatever suits your learning style.

If you like.
