Welcome to the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Our Department includes 24 full-time faculty members whose interests span molecular biology through ecosystems ecology and evolution.
Biological Sciences faculty supervise more than 50 MSc and PhD students via tri-campus programs in Cell and Systems Biology, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and Physiology. Our Department excels in graduate and postdoctoral training, with world-class facilities, access to a tri-campus network of resources and expertise, and well-funded and exciting research programs.
The Department offers undergraduate specialist programs in Cell and Molecular Biology, Conservation Biology, Human Biology, and Integrative Biology, a Major program in Integrative Biology, and a Minor in Biology. We also offer joint programs in Neuroscience, Paramedicine and Industrial Microbiology. We are continually expanding our curriculum to keep pace with current research and technologies. Our students are highly successful applicants for medical, graduate, and other professional programs.
