The UTSC Intramural Program gives students the opportunity to represent UTSC in competitive sport leagues in the University of Toronto Intramural Program. These teams compete against various other colleges and faculties within the University of Toronto.

The calibre of Intramural play is out the same as a good high school team, but not nearly as skilled as the "Varsity Blues" teams which represent the best players in all of U of T.

Games are played on the UTSC campus, St. George campus, and the UTM campus depending on the division and sport. All game and tournament schedules, scores, and team lists will also be posted on the boards outside R-247. For more information, please call (416) 287-7099.

A wide variety of sports offered for both men and women are available to all current U of T students. Divided up into Fall and Winter terms, check out the list below for a sport that interests you and get involved! There are also a number of tournaments offered during each term such as tennis, squash, golf, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intramurals

  • 1. What is the time commitment?

Intramural programs consist of one game and one practice a week, which means that you would only have to devote 5 hours a week to a sport.

  • 2. What is Tri-Campus?

This is UTSC's highest level of Intramural competition. Tri-Campus Intramural leagues are offered for Men's Hockey, Men's Outdoor Soccer, Women's Basketball, Women's Volleyball, and Men's and Women's Indoor Soccer.
These leagues are comprised of 4 teams - UTSC, UTM and 2 All-Star teams selected to represent the St. George campus.

  • 3. How do we get to games on the St. George campus and UTM?

Bus Transportation to Away games is provided for all Intramural teams. The bus will pick-up and drop-off all players at UTSC.

  • 4. What if I have never played in an organized league?

In most sports, there is more than one division to accommodate differences in skill levels.
In addition, UTSC provides a coach for each Intramural team to help build on skill development and understanding of the sport. Beginners are always encouraged to tryout.

  • 5. What if I miss the try-outs?

If you miss the fall season tryouts, winter leagues start a brand new season with all new try-outs in January. Look for the sport that you are interested in and contact the coach.
