Registering for your Work Term Prep Course
Students Admitted to A&S Co-op from High school
As of 2009, students entering Arts & Science Co-op will operate under a revised curriculum for our work term preparation activities. With this new curriculum, there are two stages of preparation which take place over your first and second year in the program.
The first stage is called "Navigating the World of Work”, which consists of a number of workshops and events to help prepare you for your work term job search. Please register for the following Work Term Prep Course/Navigating the World of Work Section via ROSI.
COPD01 - This course will meet on Wednesdays from 5-7, location IC130.
Please note that some sessions will be held at other times throughout the year, such as Industry Tours and Trying on Hats. The Co-op Office will be using CSM and Blackboard to administer various components of these programs. You will learn more about CSM, Blackboard and the eligible activities for Navigating the World of Work (NWoW) at the Co-op Orientation.
To proceed to the next stage of the program in second year, Recruitment Cycle Preparation, students must complete a minimum of 8 eligible workshops/activities and successfully complete a project. After first year, students who have completed NWOW will have a chance to complete RC Prep during a May or August.
Students Admitted to A&S Co-op after 1st year of University
Students who are admitted to Arts & Science Co-op after their first year at UTSC will need to register via ROSI for both Navigating the World of Work (NWOW) and Recruitment Cycle Preparation (RC Prep) courses.
The course code for NWOW is COPD01. This course meets on Wednesday from 5-7pm. The location is IC130.
In order to keep you on track for your first work term, you will simultaneously be completing the RC Prep course. Select tutorial 1 or 2 for COPD03.
We encourage you to visit our website www.utsc.utoronto.ca/artscoop to learn more about the various programming available to you as a Co-op student.
