Pollinator Habitats

bee hives

University of Toronto Scarborough has beehives located on our Social Science Building rooftop. For more information about the bees on campus, check out our campus beekeeper, Tom Nolan on instagram @Hivetown

Toronto is home to hundreds of species of bees along with a variety of other pollinators.  In 2016, Toronto may become Canada’s first Bee City, growing and protecting the pollinator population.

Did you know: Bees along with birds, bats, beetles and butterflies pollinate approximately 30% of the world’s crop!
