The Kraatz group is an interdisciplinary group of chemists, engineers, and environmental scientists. We cover a variety of research interests including the development of biosensors, peptide self-assembly and biomaterials, and the remediation of greenhouse gases.

October 2023

We welcome Jennifer to the group as an undergraduate volunteer! She will be working on the electrochemical reduction of CO2. Happy to have you join us!

September 2023

We welcome Zixin (“Tuesday”) and Zehao to the group as 1st year Ph. D. students in Environmental Science! We also welcome Papina and Grace, our CHMD90 undergraduate thesis student for Fall 2023-Winter 2024 academic year! Papina will be working with peptide hydrogels inspired by cardiovascular regenerative medicine while Grace will be working in electrochemical CO2 reduction. We’re excited to have you all with us!!

August 2023

Tsuimy has passed her oral comprehensive exam and is now a Ph. D. candidate! As our senior graduate student, she is one step closer towards completion!
