April – Group attends the 64th annual ENC in Monterey, California. Rajshree receives the Anil Kumar award for the conference.
March – Katelyn becomes a PhD candidate and Amy graduates with her PhD in Environmental Chemistry!
February – Monica graduates with her PhD in Environmental Science!
January – Daniel becomes a PhD candidate!
2022
October – Andre, Ronald, Rajshree, Daniel, Peter, and Kiera Travel to Europe to visit Bruker Switzerland and Germany.
September – Katelyn and Katrina spend a month at Nantes University.
July – Katelyn gets OGS.
June – Leah leaves the group, we will miss her!
May – Flavio re-joins the group as a post-doc. William joins the lab as a PhD student.
April – Group attends 63rd annual ENC in Orlando, Florida. Monica is awarded a travel grant for the conference. Daniel Wins NSERC. Rajshree is awarded Special Opportunity grant fellowship to travel to Bruker Switzerland/Germany in October.
January – Leah joins as a visiting professor for six months!
2021
September – Kiera, Peter, and Katrina join the lab as PhD students!
May – Rajshree becomes a PhD candidate and gets NSERC-CGSD. Daniel gets OGS.
June – An international team including several several members of the group win the the 2021 Analytical Division Horizon Prize: Sir George Stokes Award (more information here).
2020
December – Some articles from UTSC about our research are published! We’re number 1 on the most memorable moments of 2020, and published our first ever Science paper!
September – Katelyn joins the group for her PhD.
May – Amy becomes a PhD candidate!
April – Monica and Amy are awarded NSERC CGS-D, and Daniel is awarded NSERC CGS-M. Vincent becomes a PhD candidate!
March – Group attends 61st annual ENC in Baltimore, Maryland. Amy is awarded a travel grant for the conference. Also a pandemic breaks out while the entire group is out of the country and then the university shut down while we were in quarantine upon returning. The group also welcomes Flavio as a post-doc!
February – Andersson heads back to Brazil, we will miss him. Rajshree becomes a media sensation (see the story here, here, here, here and here).
January – Monica becomes a PhD candidate!

December – Luciano heads back to Brazil, we will miss him.

June – Yalda graduates with her PhD in Environmental Science.

May – Amy is awarded a Special Opportunity Travel Fellowship to travel and work for two months at Bruker in Karlsruhe, Germany.
May – Maryam Tabatabaei Anaraki leaves to work for six months at the Ministry of the Environment
April – Paris Ning is awarded an ENC travel Stipend.

October – Rudy Dutta Majumdar has been hired as an application and service engineer at Bruker Canada – Congratulations Rudy!
August – Monica Bastwarous, Vincent Moxeley-Paquette, Daniel Lane, and Paris Ning travel to Bruker in Fällanden, Switzerland.
May – Jeff Webster joins for the group for his M.Sc summer internship with DPES.
May – Atiq Sufi joins the group for the summer as an NSERC award recipient. Amy Jenne, Monica Bastwarous, and Vincent Moxeley-Paquette join for their PhD.
May – University of Toronto Scarborough covers current research in the lab.
April – Ioana Fugariu Wins the 2016 Journal of Magnetic Resonance Young Scientist Award.
April – Ioana Fugariu is Awarded an ENC travel Stipend.

January – Dr. Rudraksha (Rudy) Dutta Majumdar joins the group for 1.5 years as a postdoctoral fellow.
April – Group attends the 57th ENC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
April – Yalda Liaghati Mobarhan publishes the very first comprehensive multiphase in-vivo NMR paper in Chemical Science (IF: 9.211). Story on Chemistry World. Full paper.
