Tameika Shaw speaking to DHS students about careers in Primary Care Services and Nutrition.

Tameika Shaw brought the fall term of the Allied Health Speaker Series to a close on November 24th. Tameika, a Registered Dietician and Primary Care Services Manager at TAIBU Community Health Centre in Malvern, shared her educational journey and the pivotal role she plays in ensuring comprehensive care for all who walk through their doors.

Her talk delved into her personal experiences but also shed light on the evolving job trends within her specialized areas. Students, staff, and faculty were captivated by her talk and it was a pleasure to have her on campus to inspire the minds of many.

As we bid farewell to the fall term, please check our DHS website, DHS Instagram page, and HSSA Instagram page for upcoming talks in January and February where we hope to invite an Occupational Therapist and a Physician’s Assistant to campus!
