Janine Jivani, President of the Geography and City Studies Students Association (GSSA), recalls the first-ever student hike event to be a success. The hiking trip, organized in cooperation with CGSA, took place in September 2013. Professor Emeritus Michael Bunce led students on a tour of Rouge National Urban Wilderness Park. “What was great about this event was that we were able to see a part of Scarborough that many of us don’t get a chance to see on a regular basis.  I hope GCSA will continue co-hosting this event in future years because it was a great success”, says Janine.
