Kara Gaston’s research focuses on Medieval English and Italian literature, giving special attention to poetry and poetics, form and aesthetics, translation, adaptation, and material textuality. She is working on her first book, Chaucer’s Italy, which explores Chaucer’s reception of Italian literature, including works by Boccaccio, Dante, and Petrarch. A second book project, Writing the Stars, focuses on medieval astronomy and poetry. Her publications appear, or will soon appear, in venues including Chaucer ReviewStudies in the Age of ChaucerLe tre corone, and PMLA.
