Required for: All University of Toronto Scarborough employees whose job tasks include manually transporting materials (e.g. lifting, pushing, pulling).
Includes: Online training, followed by a test with a passing mark of 80%.
Description: Materials of all shapes and sizes are handled on a regular basis throughout the University. If tasks are not conducted properly, personal injury and/or property damage may result. This online training course will introduce the concept of ergonomics for materials handling operations and will help participants learn to recognize and apply ergonomic solutions to materials handling operations in the workplace.
Refresher: Every 5 years
