History

Biography: 

Sanchia deSouza is a PhD student in the Department of History at the University of Toronto and graduate assistant to the Jackman Humanities Research Group on City Foods. Her research looks at food and circulation in urban South Asia, particularly 19th and 20th century Bombay.  Previously, she worked on oral history and archival projects at the Centre for Public History, Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore, India. 

 

Education: 

Sanchia has a Masters’ degree from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, India, and a Bachelors’ degree from the University of Mumbai, India.
