How Can FSGs Help Me?

Facilitated Study Groups (FSGs) are weekly study sessions for students taking selected UTSC courses, and who want to improve their understanding of course material and challenging concepts. Attendance is voluntary.
In FSGs you’ll discuss the lecture material and important concepts, develop study strategies, and practice testing yourself on course material to prepare for your assignments and tests. FSGs are led by a student who has previously completed and demonstrated mastery of the course. The facilitator will attend lectures with you and will come to sessions prepared with new study ideas and suggestions to ensure that each study group is productive.  Research shows that students who attend FSGs regularly gain a deeper understanding of the material and on average, achieve better grades.

Check the course Blackboard site to see if your course is supported by FSGs.
