Biography: 

Dr. Butler has been at UTSC since 2003, before which he did a postdoc at Dalhousie University and taught at Canterbury Christ Church University College in the UK. He has discovered a passion for applied statistics, and enjoys working with people from other disciplines, to learn about how they are using statistical methods. Dr. Butler was a driving force behind the Applied Statistics minor program, of which he is the program coordinator. He enjoys working with R software, and helping others to do so.

Teaching Interests: 

Dr. Butler enjoys teaching statistics to non-statisticians, and also getting mathematical statisticians interested in applications of statistical methods.
