Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre

Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre rendering.

This new facility is designed to be a hub of activity and collaboration for our students and the community, underpinned by a shared value of a healthy, active lifestyle.

A legacy of the Pan Am Parapan American Games hosted by Toronto in 2015, UTSC and the community benefits from this state of the art facility.  The Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre features two Olympic-size pools, a diving tank and field house. This was the venue for swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, fencing, parts of the modern pentathlon and sitting volleyball during the 2015 Pan Am and Para Pan American Games, the world’s third-largest international multi-sport games, surpassed only by the Asian Games and the Summer Olympics.

TPASC is the home of UTSC’s Department of Athletics and Recreation, open to UTSC students, faculty and staff. Given the significant expansion of space, the department will be able to grow the number and types of instructional programs offered.

The University’s unique partnership with the City of Toronto opens the facility for training and recreation to members of the community as well as high-performance athletes.
