Co-Curricular Record (CCR) Activities

 
We offer Professional Development bundles of activities for improving your skills and employability, for which you may earn credit in your Co-Curricular Record (CCR)!
 
We also hire student staff to support the services in our Resource Centre, to provide Peer Coaching and to support our Get Started academic orientation programming throughout the summer. These positions provide students with opportunities to gain paid work experience and are eligible for CCR validation as well.

How to Complete an AA&CC Professional Development Bundle:
 

  1. Choose a bundle that interests you (i.e. you can complete as many bundles as you would like).
  2. Attend the required workshops and/or meetings. Complete the required activities and/or reports.
  3. Login at ccr.utoronto.ca and search for “Academic Advising & Career Centre” to find your bundle. Choose Click to Learn More to open the bundle. Click on Participant, then Add Position to My Co-Curricular Record.
  4. We will review and validate your participation!

Work Search Strategies

  • Attend 2 workshops:

             ·  Work Search Strategies OR Jobs for Grads Orientation
             ·  LinkedIn for Job Search OR​ Branding and Social Media

  • Create a work search plan.
  • Create your LinkedIn profile.
  • Engage in 1 meeting with a Career Counsellor or Career Strategist to review your work search plan and critique your LinkedIn profile. Visit AC213 or call us at 416-287-7561 to book this appointment.

 
Work Search Skills: Self-Presentation

  • Attend 2 workshops:

             ·  Resumes and Cover Letters
             ·  Interview Strategies

  • Engage in 1 resume critique meeting (Rapid Resume Review, drop-in or pre-arranged meeting with a Resume Peer Coach, Career Counsellor or Career Strategist – visit AC213 to arrange it).
  • Participate in 1 mock interview meeting. Visit AC213 or call us at 416-287-7561 to book this appointment. It must be pre-arranged.

 
Building Relationships through Networking

  • Attend 2 workshops:

             ·  Networking to Find Work
             ·  LinkedIn for Job Search OR Interview Them

  • Engage in 1 AA&CC networking event (any – see the Events & Workshops in Scarborough in CLN throughout the year for our events).
  • Submit 1 reflection paper, on paper, addressed to the Manager, Career Development at AC213. It will not be graded, because what you learned is what you learned! Remember to put your name on it.
